We are all about content

From concept to final copy, our approach to creating a communications plan is fast and affordable.

How we work

Our five steps to a communications plan

We work with you to create a strategic communications plan for all your content, including blogs, playbooks, case studies, pitch decks, and presentations.

01

Workshop

In a one-hour session we find out who your customers are, how you serve them, where you reach them, and the language that best describes your offering.

  • Customer personas
  • Your offering
  • Channels for communications

02

Plan created

Following the workshop we create a communications plan, which will include the strategy, a Key Message House (with key words and phrases), and a content plan.

  • Communications plan
  • Content strategy
  • Key words and phrases

03

Interview

A plan needs action, so when you are ready to create content, we interview one or two members of your team online for one hour. You may also like to include a customer on the call.

  • Indepth interview
  • Conversation recorded
  • Transcript created

04

Content writing

We draft the appropriate content, as outlined in the comms plan. It will be based on the interview and other material you provide, in confidence.

  • Professional writer
  • Fact checking
  • Tailored content

05

Feedback

You review and provide feedback to us. We accept, and act on, one round of changes.

  • Fast turnaround
  • Feedback acted on
  • One round of changes
About us

Experienced tech communicator

If you want to be part of your customer’s narrative, then you have to tell a good story about yourself. I can help you with that. I’ve worked in public relations, internal communications, journalism, commentary, event production, investor communications and so on, for a range of companies in both the private and public sectors. In every role, my key skill has been to produce compelling content – as Editor of Computerworld and CIO, as a regular tech commentator on National Radio, and as a Senior PR executive. You can check out the details on my LinkedIn profile.

Companies need to produce quality content about their offering in a way that will attract customers. The kicker is that it costs – time and money and it can be difficult to determine how much of each when you seek external assistance. That’s why I created Inkdotdash. To provide a very clear outline how communication plans are created and deployed, so you know upfront exactly what the process is and what you will receive for your investment.

I can also help with corporate and change communications – advice which is very particular to a situation, so feel free to give me a call to discuss.
